In the wake of Nike's wildly successful Dunk revival in 2020, the sportswear giant re-introduced the world to the original Be True To Your School colorways. Among these timeless designs was the "St. John's" Dunk, a sneaker that captured the essence of collegiate spirit with its crisp white and red color blocking. Five years later, Nike is set to revisit this classic with a fresh twist for 2025.
The upcoming "St. John's" iteration retains the beloved white and red palette but injects a new vibrancy. This modern version enhances the red to a slightly more vivid shade. A unique red ribbon trim along the tongue adds a distinctive touch, setting this release apart from its predecessor.
This refresh is part of a broader initiative by Nike to revisit several of the original Dunk Low releases, each receiving its unique twist. For instance, the "Michigan" colorway will feature a deeper green, and the "Syracuse" will sport an aged-look midsole, demonstrating Nike's commitment to honoring and reimagining the past.
A release is currently set for January 1st, 2025, on Nike.com.
