Candid shots of the ’92 Dream Team celebrate their 25th anniversary

Today marks exactly 25 years since the iconic Dream Team took home the Gold Medal in the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. The team, to this day, is considered to be the best basketball roster every assembled, after a rule change that allowed pro athletes to compete in international games.

This allowed some of the best NBA stars from the 1980’s and 90’s to team up and take the world by storm.

Unfair? Yes. The Dream Team won by an average of 40 points per game, leaving zero chance for any opposing countries.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, a few media outlets are showcasing some rare off-the-court photos of the Dream Team, giving us all a look at the joy, fun and excitement the Dream Team went through in Barcelona, 1992.
