A First Look at the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2
Round 2.
The Nike Epic React Flyknit was probably the most popular new running release of 2018, second only to that of the Nike React Element 87 — but by being more attainable by the general population, it’s carved it’s way into the mainstream with relative ease.
So when it comes to the follow up, the pressure is seemingly at ease. But a follow up to something so popular can make or break a series. So after such successful first year on the market where does the Epic React Flyknit go next?
Well, to the two, of course.
The Epic React Flyknit 2 was debuted by none other than marquee Nike athlete, LeBron James, who rocked this “Pixel” colorway on the way to demolish the Hornets in Charlotte late last week.
The thing is, nobody really noticed. At a first glance, the Epic React 2 is similar in both shape and style to its predecessor, but with a closer look, there are a few notable differences to the OG: The heel cage is cut much lower than the first version, the midfoot Swoosh is significantly larger, and the Flyknit upper features a different weave pattern for even more support and flexibility.
Peep the first look at the new React above and below, and you can expect a release of this first “Pixel” colorway to land on Nike.com on January 31st.
