Virgil Abloh won’t be the only big-name designer to deliver his own take on the Nike Blazer in late 2021, with Errolson Hugh’s Acronym label the next to link up on the low-top sneaker.
After information on the collaboration was leaked earlier this year, a first look at the design has appeared via Hugh himself, flexing his new design at the Rick Owens SS22 women’s runway show in Paris this week. The long-time Nike collaborator often delivered designs lying somewhere between futuristic and utility — and this is no expectation. Uppers of heavy-duty black twill arrive shredded and torn to reveal a white layer beneath, while an oversized, avante grade heel clip in the rear brings some futuristic flair. It’s capped with bone leather liners, and soft green sole units to complete the design.
