The world-famous Nike Swoosh has humble beginnings. Designed by a friend of a friend, the Check has since become one of the world’s most recognizable motifs. It’s gone through a handful of changes over the years, with many early-on designs from multiple years confusing the masses as to its actual first use. Now the Swoosh is setting the record straight with a fourth Air Force 1 addition to its dual-laced collection; the Nike Air Force 1 Low “First Use” in Sail, White and Orange.
Just like the previously-previewed options, this Air Force 1 identifies June 18th, 1971 as the trademarked date, embroidered below the orange outlined Swoosh — also embroidered — though this time it arrives on the medial side as opposed to the other options on the lateral. Vintage cursive Nike branding in the rear match the accompanying orange shade of the lateral leather Swoosh and tongue branding, with everything else arriving in white leather and undyed suede. Capping off the design is a simple solid white sole unit, and special lace bling — a golden Swoosh mounted with a solitary diamond.
