Though we’ve only just moved on from the debut drop of their Adjust Force collaboration, Japanese label AMBUSH already has their sights set on another Nike model, with the two parties combining for two efforts on the Air Force 1 for the silhouette’s 40th-anniversary celebration.
First looks at the upcoming collection from Carter Wangshows two separate “Black” and “Phantom” releases, both arriving as complete inversions of the other. First up, the black-based release is fitted with a premium leather construction — including the exposed foam tongues and liners — atop a murdered-out sole unit, complete with AMBUSH brand marks on the underside. From there, the pair is fixed with tonal AMBUSH heel clips, before a barrage of “Phantom” pigments cover the tongue branding and enamel dubraes, as well as the protruding Swooshes informed by their recent Dunk High collaborations. The opposing pair in “Phantom” is exactly the same, with the colors inverted.
