This tribute runs deeper than just the colors.
The first Boston Celtic-specific colorway of the Nike Kyrie 4 is here and its being labelled “City of Guardians”.
With the steel grey color representing the city of Boston itself and, quite obviously, the green colors pay homage to Kyrie’s new franchise. But etched into the upper of the sneaker is a callout to the home of the Celtics, too. TD Garden’s world-famous parquet floor is honored in the sneaker’s patchwork detail.
The Nike Kyrie 4 “City of Guardians” is scheduled for a release on February 1st. Stay tuned for the official look from Nike!
