First flexed during his fruitless open workout last month, it has now been confirmed that Colin Kaepernick’s Nike Air Force 1 collaboration will be touching down at retailers later this month.

We barely caught a glimpse of the black-based sneaker a few weeks back, but only now do we have our first full looks at the pair. Aside from the ice blue translucent outsole, the pair arrives in monochrome black and white. The former makes up the majority of the upper, which arrives in buttery-soft black leather. Liners, tongues, and laces match the hue, before the stark contrasts of white are introduced at the heel overlay. The double-layered Swoosh sees white underneath with a black-to-white gradient overlay that mimics CK’s gameday cleats from his first protest. Midsoles arrive in a classic white and are painted with black detail, and the aforementioned outsoles arrive iced out.

Special details include an Afro Colin motif on the heels, a hangtag with Kaep’s number 7, and the date Colin first took a knee in protest: 08/14/16. That detail is only on display of the right shoe, the same foot that Colin displayed his spikes on that iconic day back in August 2016.

A release date for Colin Kaepernick’s Nike Air Force 1 collaboration has been locked in for a December 23rd drop, with pairs set to arrive in adult ($110), toddler and little kids sizing at the select stores listed below.
