Nike Shox are typically only favored by old heads and/or drug dealers, but this latest collaboration from Comme des Garcons are breaking the mold — an effort that Nike is hoping to challenge and change perceptions of the early 00s sneaker.

At this year’s Ready to Wear runway show in Paris, CDGpreviewed an all-new Nike Shox collab, a partially deconstructed shoe wrapped in branded jewelry. “Triple White” and “Triple Black” colorways feature CDG x Nike branding across the tongue and the exposed Shox cushioning system that was all the rage back in 2001.

But will these save the silhouette?

Nike has released the official shots of the CDG x Nike Shox TL in both White and Black colorways, which are both scheduled to release on June 13th — however, official images of the retail pairs have excluded the gold and silver chains and pendants, so it’s unclear if they will be included with the release. But for a $350 price point, you’d expect them to be. Stay tuned for a comprehensive list of stockists dropping the pairs.
