The Mets aren’t the only icons from New York to get their own Nike Skateboarding sneaker this year, with the surfacing of a FAUST x Nike SB Dunk High all but confirming a collaboration between two legends.
The world-renowned graffiti artist is known for his specialty in calligraphy which can be found on stickers and as giant executions all over the city of New York and around the globe. So it should come as no surprise that the artist has decorated this collaboration with several instances of the written word. From profile embroidery — both tonal and metallic gold — to “Sell Your Soul/Sole” pieced insoles, the pair is covered; there are even hidden marks behind the ankle flaps. There are paint-dripping Swooshes on the medial, and a slew of laces options to boot. All of this rests atop a black suede and leather construct, with tonal laces, tongues, liners, and soles completing the design.
