In 2002, Nike SB was born out of a necessity for the Swoosh brand to deliver a shoe to the exponentially-expanding Skateboard market. A big part of its success has been its focus on collaborative efforts — a branch that has always delivered — even the clout of Travis Scott was materialized on the silhouette. Now it’s time for Paul Shier and Nick Jensen of Isle Skateboards to shine, joining forces with the Swoosh to create this clean Isle Skateboards x Nike SB Blazer.
The retro Blazer silhouette has been given the triple black treatment, from the suede upper to the pair’s rubber sole unit — everything is as black as the night, with the exception of a few details. A rough-cut canvas patch located on the rear quarter of the shoe is an added detail from the London native’s rebellious punk upbringing. And one that, in its own right translates extremely well into Skateboard culture. Completing this new partnership is a refined script “Isle” located on the heel and co-branded tongue tags resting atop a retro exposed foam tongue.
Keen a lil’ Punk pickup? You can get ’em on April 4th from Isle Skateboards, with a release likely to follow on Nike.com. Should any more stocking stores surface, we’ll be sure to keep you updated over on our official Twitter account.
