On March 21, 2015, a high school senior named Jalen Brunson scored 30 points in a championship game to help his team, the Adlai E. Stevenson High School Patriots, to its first-ever IHSA Class 4A State Championship.
Now a superstar for the New York Knicks, Brunson has utilized his ongoing Nike Kobe partnership to commemorate the special occasion from 11 years ago.
Unveiled against the Chicago Bulls, the special Kobe 4 Protro by Nike Basketball adds yet another tally to Brunson's expansive roster of Player-Exclusives from the late-NBA legend's signature footwear series. The silhouette sees a predominantly white finish that allows for hits of green and yellow—the Stevenson Patriots' official colors—to shine. A direct nod to the "'15 State Champs" win is found on the tongue's underside.
Enjoy detailed shots of the shoe ahead. Pairs are unlikely to see a release via Nike.com, though more unexpected things have happened.
