New Nike Blazer Mid is Redesigned for Dance

Outside of the SNKRS drawing system, Nike has found many ways to be more inclusive in recent years. From Flyease technology to branching out to new sports, the Swoosh has looked to make its product more purposeful. Though it’s taken some time, the Swoosh has finally delivered some dance-specific footwear — including these new retooled Nike Blazers for kids.

Redesigned to assist in the completion of dance moves more easily, the new model tweaks a few key areas of tension for a more durable dance wear. Added ankle padding in the rear is found above redesigned panels on the lateral quarter and medial midfoot, all of which is done to add more pliability. You’ll notice that the lateral Swoosh has shifted down significantly, while the medial Check has been removed completely — again, for the same reasons. Toe overlays are now one-piece, whilst the tongues sit a little higher than normal, and now sport an elongated tongue pull that reads “Just Do It” to complete the design.

Already available in China, you should expect to see a rollout of these redesigned-for-dance Nike Blazers hit select Stateside stockists soon.
