Kobe Bryant’s connection to the women’s game has always been a meaningful part of his legacy. Long before the current surge in attention around the WNBA, Bryant was one of the league’s most visible supporters, regularly championing its players, wearing league apparel, and speaking openly about the future of women’s basketball. That connection now continues through footwear with the upcoming Kobe Bryant x Nike Dunk Low “WNBA All-Star.”
Expected to release on July 24, the pair arrives as part of Nike’s wider WNBA All-Star Weekend rollout, landing alongside the brand’s “White Label” collection and the orange-tinted Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro. It also continues the Kobe line’s recent expansion beyond traditional basketball models, following Protro-style Air Force 1 releases and several Dunk Low projects tied to key moments in Bryant’s story.
This pair takes a darker approach, pairing a black textile base with charcoal leather overlays and an aged midsole. The standout details come through the color-shifting accents across the Swoosh, tongue badge, and heel tab. While Nike’s official images make those areas appear closer to a deep red finish, the material is far more vibrant in person, shifting with a glossy iridescent effect that brings flashes of pink, red, and purple depending on the light.
The Kobe-specific updates continue underfoot. The Nike Dunk Low is reworked with a Protro-style outsole featuring a coiled snake-inspired forefoot pattern, a Kobe sheath hit at the heel, and modified Nike Sportswear branding at the center. A red liner and Kobe script at the heel add more direct ties to Bryant’s signature line without pushing the shoe too far away from its Dunk DNA.
The Kobe Bryant x Nike Dunk Low “WNBA All-Star” is expected to release July 24 through Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
