Kyrie Irving and Nike Basketball have commenced their first official Asian World Tour together in Japan yesterday.
This could be the first indication that Irving will be taking over the reigns from Kobe Bryant as Nike’s second big star after the Mamba’s retirement. It also doesn’t hurt that Kyrie has had the best selling signature sneaker of any current NBA player this past year. I mean, he’s already an NBA Champion, All-Star and Olympic Gold Medalist at 25 years old. That sure makes me feel unaccomplished.
Irving and Nike will make stops in Tokyo, Japan; Taipei, Taiwan; and Beijing, China throughout the end of this month. Peep the kickoff of the tour below from Tokyo, and if you’re keen to see Irving on tour, make sure you hit him up on Instagram!
