Arthur Kar's L’Art De L’Automobile is gearing up for an intriguing collaboration with Nike, adding to its impressive sneaker portfolio that includes a memorable Salomon partnership earlier this year. Known for its automotive-themed designs, L’Art De L’Automobile has consistently merged the worlds of cars and kicks, from a 2022 Salomon capsule to various Vans collaborations and a recent endeavor with NOCTA racing.

Earlier this month, glimpses of a co-branded L’Art de L’automobile x Nike Air Force 1 stirred hopes for another public release. However, the L’Art De L’Automobile Instagram account has confirmed that these coveted shoes will be exclusive to friends and family and not available for public purchase.

Despite the exclusivity, the two Air Force 1 colorways crafted by L’Art De L’Automobile deserve recognition. Each pair embodies a narrative deeply connected to the brand’s ethos and history. The first is inspired by the Porsche L’ART 968, Kar’s modern reinterpretation of the classic German coupe, reflecting automotive innovation and design. The second celebrates the company's 10th anniversary, designed in an evergreen “Triple Black” that prioritizes sophisticated details over vibrant color.

The 10th-anniversary edition is particularly notable for its luxurious touches, including a circular carbon fiber patch on the heel adorned with intricately stitched branding and a dynamic car graphic. Its counterpart, the Porsche-inspired model, opts for subtlety with green “L’art” text on the backtab, debossed “968” on the lateral forefoot, and a split-up Porsche L’ART 968 graphic across the insoles, showcasing minimalistic yet impactful design elements.

Enjoy a closer look at both friends and family exclusives below, and stay tuned for potential future collaborations that might just make it to wider release.
