Nike Remakes LeBron James' St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish Uniform in Premium Materials

LeBron James and his Nike Basketball family have been treating their 23rd year in business with special care, focusing on high-quality product execution and intentional storytelling. Although much attention has been paid to the LeBron 23 silhouette, the partnership's Forever King initiative has also brought a spotlight to a number of special apparel styles that also celebrate "the kid from Akron."

Most recently, a premium remake of James' St. Vincent-St. Mary High School Fighting Irish uniform has surfaced via images acquired by Elden Monitors. Adidas was the school's sponsor during the four-time NBA champion's tenure, but the commemorative edition of the jersey and shorts feature swoosh logos. Although the apparel offerings are faithful to what "King James" would've worn at the Ohio-based high school between 1999 and 2003, both items have been reimagined through a luxurious manufacturing process that injects a lifestyle touch into the performance designs while also denoting the special occasion for their launches.

A "Sail/Gorge Green/Club Gold" presentation takes over the jersey and shorts, honoring St. Vincent-St. Mary's signature colors. Logos from the school are carefully incorporated into the elevated builds. James and 23 are found on the back of the jersey, while the now-40-year-old's signature appears on a special label found on the jersey's lower left side and shorts' inner tag. Both items match well with the "From this 'Point Forward'" LeBron 23, which draws inspiration from Sports Illustrated's "The Chosen One" cover featuring a teenage-James in 2002.
