Lil Yachty’s Nike partnership is moving into stranger territory. After building his Concrete Boys rollout around the Air Force 1 Low, the Atlanta artist now appears to be shifting toward the Air Force 1 Mid — and this one is anything but a standard follow-up.

The newly surfaced Concrete Boys x Nike Air Force 1 Mid keeps the familiar shape of the mid-cut AF1, complete with its ankle strap, raised collar, and classic sole setup. What changes everything is the material. Instead of smooth leather, tumbled panels, or canvas, the entire upper is wrapped in a fuzzy grey textile scattered with small flecks of blue, red, pink, and black. It looks more like recycled packing material or industrial insulation than a conventional sneaker upper, giving the pair a rough, unfinished feel.

That same texture also appears to extend across the midsole, making the shoe look almost fully wrapped from top to bottom. It is an odd choice at first, but it also fits the Concrete Boys' name surprisingly well. There is a worksite feel to the execution, almost as if the shoe was pulled from a construction zone rather than a Nike design room.

Branding is kept direct. “IT’S US” appears on the tongue beneath a mini Swoosh, while the Concrete Boys figure lands near the lateral heel. The Swoosh itself is worked into the same grey textile, making it blend into the body of the shoe instead of standing out through contrast.

There is no confirmed release information yet for the Concrete Boys x Nike Air Force 1 Mid, but early images suggest Yachty is not interested in playing things safe. Whether this ends up as a retail pair, sample, or limited friends-and-family project, it is already one of the more unusual Air Force 1 Mids to surface in recent memory.
