As one of the most supported franchises in all of sports — not just the NBA — this NBA x Nike Air Force 1 “Lakers” will arguably be one of the most desired drops from the wider NBA x Nike collection, despite not arriving in signature Purple and Gold. Instead, the pair presents in an amalgamation of their two identities, Minneapolis and Los Angeles.

Revealed today via @brandon1an, the pair shows powder blue and purple accents to honor their homes in Minneapolis and Los Angeles respectively. Both hues are centered around white anchors at the smooth leather toe, quarters, and lateral Swoosh, nylon tongues, and midsoles. Heavy on its heritage, light blue accents run rife throughout the pair, with medial mid panels matching eyestays and heel overlays in both hue and material, whilst also gracing the pair’s liners, outsoles, and midsole stitchwork. Lastly, Lakers purple appears across an abundance of accents, including lateral mid panels, midsole foxing, forefoot mini Swoosh, and Lakers branding in the back. The pair is then completed by the collection’s signature 75th anniversary-branded tongues and dubraes.
