Nike is set to bring back the ACG Air Exploraid, a classic trail running shoe that made its mark in 1999.
According to Brendan Dunne of Complex, the revival of this esteemed footwear is slated for February and March 2024.
The ACG Air Exploraid has earned its place among trail runners and collectors alike for its enduring build and comfortable wear. Key features that distinguished the shoe include a neoprene inner bootie for a snug fit, a notable Nike Air unit in the heel for cushioning, and a mesh wrapping on the midsole in the forefoot area, which adds breathability, essential for those engaging runs through the trails.
The return of the ACG Air Exploraid will start with the original “Ash Green” colorway, scheduled for release in February. The muted green hue resonates with the outdoor setting it’s designed for. Following this, in March, the “Orewood Brown” variant will make its way to the shelves, offering an alternative for those who lean towards earth-toned aesthetics.
In addition to the appealing color options, the ACG Air Exploraid will be available in a wide range of men’s sizes, from 3.5 to 15, making it accessible to a diverse audience. The retail price is set at a reasonable $140 USD, and pairs will arrive on Nike.com on February 13, 2024.
