The quintessential model from Nike’s mid-90’s turf training category, the Air Barrage, made a triumphant return to the world earlier this month after a 24-year absence. It’s big, bulky maximalist design struck a chord with new fans, while OG heads were just glad to see an old friend. And now it’s back again in another Hoops-inspired makeup; a bold blue and gold of the Western Conference Champs, the Golden State Warriors.
White mesh and royal leather serve as the sneaker’s base, with white, then blue layering covers up the sides and over the blue mesh tongue. Strong pops of University Gold arrive on the ribbon underlays, Swoosh and letter branding, tongue liner, and heel pull, while a multi-colored outsole a stark black midsole complete the design.
