Nike Add Some Bling to the Nike Air Force 1 Low LX
The humble Air Force 1 has become the perfect baseline for Nike’s in-house design team to really test their flair. From a seven-piece set of reimagined designs for and by women, to something as audacious as the recently-revealed “Black Tie-Dye” rendition, its versatility speaks volumes. Always down for experimentation, the next release turns the staple sneaker into something extravagant with only a few simple tweaks. In fact, there are only three altered elements to this sneaker, yet it manages to completely transform its aesthetic.
At its core, the pair is a stock-standard Air Force 1 Low, with smooth leather uppers, a classic sole unit, and a standardized liner. But the inclusion of a TPU-lined exposed-foam tongue, added jewel dubraes, and textured overlays transform the pair from ordinary to elegant in a flash. The tongue take on an aged-yellow influenced look, as well as a higher rise that enables the tongue tag to sit well above the lace line. Bling alternates between grey and aquamarine rocks in addition to the iced-out golden Swoosh that sits in between. Finally, leathers on the Swooshes and heel overlays arrive in an elephant skin-like texture that elevates the pair ever-so-slightly.
Scroll on further for an official look at the pair, and expect to see these literal gems hit Nike.com and other Swoosh stockists in the coming weeks for $120. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates on its release.
In other Air Force 1 news, the classic has surfaced in two colorways with poping Brushstroke Swooshes.
