The OG-Inspired Nike Air Force 1 High “Vintage” Arrives July 6th

Though the Air Force 1 has far surpassed its origins as a humble hardwood sneaker, Nike has never forgotten it’s history. Werther t be hoops-homaging releases or OG-inspired colorways, quite often you’ll find something that ties Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design back to its roots. With this year being the silhouette’s 40th anniversary, we’ve seen plenty of both, but it’s the OG inspiration that feeds this new Nike Air Force 1 High “Vintage” — a colorway that claims the original ’82 color scheme and tweaks it for an old-school aesthetic.

Color blocking of grey-on-white is attributed directly to the original release, though here the latter is tinted with a vintage sail hue to give that old-school feel. There are also extra elements like cracked leather rear overlays, mesh mid panels, and retro tongue tags that add to the throwback theme.

Though a release date did not accompany the image set below, you should expect to see pairs of the Nike Air Force 1 High “Vintage” arrive at select retailers soon.
