Nike's Air Force 1 Low Goes "Black Cat" Mode ahead of Fall 2025
Nike, Inc. has no shame being self-referential. In fact, countless consumers have showcased their affinity for products developed through this lens with their money and social media comments. While not a one-to-one reference akin past releases, a newly-surfaced Air Force 1 Low resembles Michael Jordan's iconic "Black Cat" retro.
Seen on the beloved Air Jordan 4 in 2006, the stealthy nubuck finish has gone on to appear on a number of products from within the company and competitors. A similar appearance on Bruce Kilgore's "presidential" silhouette falls in line with Jordan Brand's proposal, as well as some special editions by A Ma Maniére. An elevated fabric covers the bulk of the upper, replacing tradition leather construction. "Metallic Silver" lace dubraes interrupt the tonal setup while harkening back to the Air Force 1's heyday. Underfoot, the tried-and-proven sole unit also opts for a pitch-dark finish, although it passes on the fuzzy material seen up-top.
Enjoy official photos of the "Black Cat"-like Air Force 1 below. Expect pairs to hit Nike.com by the beginning of fall for around $130.
