RESTOCK // Heat-Sensitive Air Force 1 Changes Color in Sunlight
With Spring officially Sprung, the Swoosh is seeing that there’s a fair sprinkling of seasonal options on the horizon. The latest to join the Spring-tacular calendar is this playful color-changing Nike Air Force 1 Low UV — a sneaker that’s joined by a second UV-sensitive option for release soon.
Though it presents in much the same styling as it’s its counterpart, the introduction of heat/UV rays unveiled something much more avant grade than the alternate’s Swoosh and Heel treatment. Instead, each and every panel of the upper is fixed with the color-changing tech, and what’s revealed is pretty audacious. Toe boxes and mid panels saturate to a golden yellow hue, while toe and heel overlays arrive in Uni Blue to match the dubraes and outsole beneath. Swooshes and eyestays pop in a Viotech-like purple, while quarter panels pop in a rich wine red. Everything else, from the liners to the midsoles and tongues, arrives in crisp, classic white.
Though no confirmed date has been identified, you can expect this subtle yet spontaneous color-changing Air Force 1 Low UV to release Stateside alongside its accompanying pair soon. Until further details emerge, you can take an official look at the pair here below, and make sure you’re giving us a follow here on our official Twitter account for further updates.
