Appearing in something old, something new, something borrowed — and even blue — on almost a daily basis, the silhouette has shown no signs of fatigue in recent years — in fact, you can expect Bruce Kilgore’s sneaker to steam through 2022 for it’s 40th anniversary with gusto.
The next to appear is a head-scratcher — figuratively and literally —with a Roman figurehead resting prominently at its crocheted tongue. It’s meaning is unknown, nor does the pair give any other indication as to its importance. Below that, a striking burgundy patent and tumbled white leather upper resides, with sail laces and aglets marrying up with an aged-look sole unit to complete the design.
