Ever looking to increase its output, Nike continues to deliver fresh, new takes on its iconic Air Force 1 silhouette. Quite often you’ll find that the brand relies upon the overbranded aesthetic, with everything from collages to enlarged Checks gracing the silhouette. Here, it leans more towards the former, though it does so in a more reserved fashion, applying a subtle mix of scattered Swooshes along the mid panel and heel overlay. Its simple white and sail construction oozes a calm elegance, resulting in an easy-on-the-eye offering — that is, until it’s struck by light. Yes, the aforementioned Swoosh pattern is 3M reflective — and so is the profile Swoosh overlays — resulting in a pair that transforms from subtle to striking in — literally — a flash. It’s then completed by a simple white sole unit, leather tongue tags, and white gold-look dubraes at the forefoot.
