Innovation and the Air Force 1 have always been closely intertwined. This classic Swoosh sneaker has undergone numerous transformations over time, from its original low-cut version to the diverse array of revamped and reimagined styles available today. Although its materials have become increasingly bold, its color blocking has generally adhered to Bruce Kilgore's initial design. This upcoming pair, however, explores unconventional material placements, leading to a fresh color-blocking aesthetic for the iconic shoe.
Eschewing vibrant hues, the sneakers feature a mostly monochromatic blend of beige, tan, and white, combining leather, mesh, and suede in a variety of textures. The upper's smooth leather forms the base, with sail and beige hues interspersed between the mid and quarter panels. Tumbled cream leather graces the toe boxes, while the eyelet and vamp layers present a medley of textures. A robust athletic mesh tongue is contrasted by a luxurious suede tag above. Splashes of vibrant yellow lend the pair a lively, summer-inspired touch, accentuating the brand logos and the translucent rubber sole beneath.
The release date for this new Air Force 1 Low has just been confirmed for a Nike.com drop on August 4th, 2023.
