The Uptown Gets Updated with Textile and Grey Detail

Textile takeover.

There’s only a handful of sneakers in history that can obtain immediate recognition. Nike’s Air force 1 Low is one of those few.

When the low-top version hit stores in the mid-’80s, the sneaker became an instant streetwear classic and carved it’s way into the mainstream, forging its status as one of the most influential sneakers of all time. Because of its popularity, the silhouette has seen more makeovers than one can count. But time after time, it always seems to revert to classic black and white makeups. The newest makeover is no different, offering up the basic black and white pairs seen so frequently, but they arrive with two noticeable differences. Firstly, the Swoosh, heel overlay, tongue lining, and labels have been painted with a deep grey shading. Secondly, the mid panel underlay arrives in textile, making (the white pair at least) a little bit harder to keep clean. Contrasting branding caps off the silhouettes, arriving in dark grey on the white and vibrant teal on the blacks.
