Official Looks at the Nike Air Force 1 Jewel “Chicago” for All-Star Weekend

Being based around a men’s athletic event, All-Star Weekend sneaker releases have typically only considered one gender — but this is 2020, and its always about inclusiveness (as it should be). Tough, Raw, Positive, Eclectic, Tenacious and Strong are just some of the empowering words scribed on the insoles that describe just who these Air Force 1s are inspired by and made for — the women of Chicago.

The buttery black leather base is contrasted by a stark white sole unit beneath, keeping things clean and simple before the team at Beaverton basted the upper with a bevy of embellishments. Bold embroidered pinstripes mimic the Bulls alternate unis of the 90s, while matching stitched finishes also arrive on the tongue “Nike Air” and heel. “Chicago” branding. The latter is stitched into a faux fur overlay which hints at a high fashion influence, while the former sits atop a smooth leather tag. Hiking inspired laces arrive two-toned, and are blinged at the forefoot by an elongated Nike Basketball dubrae. Jewel Swooshes in red fade slightly to white in the rear, offering up the only deviation from black and red above the midsole, and the pair is completed with the aforementioned graphic insoles.
