Jewel Swooshes Return to the Air Force 1 Low in "Cool Grey" and "Black"
Initially making its mark in 1997, the jewel Swoosh became a fan favorite, celebrated for its unique aesthetic flair on the classic silhouette. Revived in 2017 for its 20th anniversary, the motif will return for another run in 2024, with several new colorways in the works for the Holiday season.
Dubbed the "Cool Grey" edition, this Air Force 1 maintains the silhouette's minimalist elegance while offering a luxurious update. The entire upper is dressed in smooth grey suede that extends from the toe to the heel, creating a monochrome look that’s both understated and stylish. The jewel Swoosh—alongside the debossed "Nike Air" branding on the heel—stands out in sharp black, adding a dramatic contrast that catches the eye.
The cleverly inverted color scheme on the sole further enhances this design. Here, black dominates the midsole, with grey "Air" text highlighting the brand’s iconic cushioning technology. This split color blocking not only emphasizes the sneaker’s sleek lines but also adds a contemporary edge to the timeless model.
