Los Angeles Sports-Inspired “What The LA” Air Force 1 Low Releases November 1st
Amongst many things, the City of Angels is known for its hardcore sports fans. And with a fortune of world-class franchises at their fingertips, it’s easy to see why. With LeBron James and his Lakers, and now Kawhi and PG bringing serious interest to the Clippers, along with the NFL finalists the LA Rams and the NL West leaders the LA Dodgers, we’re on the verge of one of the best eras in LA-sports, and now Nike is honoring that with a sports-themed “What The LA” Air Force 1 Low.
The mismatched pair pulls together franchise-inspired cues, from speckled sole units which draw from Anaheim Mighty Ducks and the LA Clippers, toe boxes arrive inspired by the region’s two rivaling MLB franchises, the Dodgers and Angels — with the medial side of the left shoe complete with baseball-style stitching. The other medial Swoosh is capped in basketball-textured leather, with heel blocking, lines and tongues sporting an array of colors, incorporating the LA Kings, Sparks, Chargers, Lakers, Rams, and Chargers all in one fell swoop, and the pair comes completed with sports mesh tongues, lateral ankle LA branding, and special graphic insoles.
