Nike Commemorate Upcoming NBA Game in Paris With Special-Edition Air Force 1
On January 24th, NBA fanatics in France will be treated to a regular-season face-off between the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks — a simple show of gratitude from the league to a city that has embraced the game of Basketball like no other. It will be the first official NBA game played on French soil, and being such a momentous occasion for both league and country, Nike will be celebrating the significant event by issuing a commemorative edition of the world’s most famous hoop shoe, the Air Force 1.
The white-based uptown arrives with some subtle French flair, including Tricolore midsole detail (alternating colors on each foot). ‘Paris’ National Basketball Association debossing on the lateral heel, NBA Pairs-details on the heel overlays and special graphic insoles that celebrate the occasion. Completing the design is an almost-hidden NBA logo on the tongue’s lateral side, and a forefoot mini Swoosh in regal royal blue.
Take a peep at the commemorative pair below, and keep your eyes locked on our Twitter feed for updates on its release.
