"Old Blue" Animates the Nike Air Force 1 Low
Nike Sportswear's handling of the Air Force 1 Low over the last seven months has brought forth a healthy mix of simple, retro styles and fresh, experimental looks. For its latest appearance, Bruce Kilgore's 42-year-old design has added another tally to the former category.
Reminiscent of the "Denim Turquoise" pair that surfaced earlier in the year, the newly-surfaced AF-1 features an "Old Blue" tone across the bulk of its classic leather upper. Profile swooshes and Achilles' heel panels deviate in clean "White" contrast, which also lands across the midsole. The titular blue color rounds out the simple, two-tone style by taking over the tried-and-proven radial outsole underfoot.
The Oregon-based institution hasn't disclosed a release date for the fresh Air Force 1 Low, but that's expected to change soon. Pairs should hit Nike.com before the autumn season ends.
