Update 01.05.24 Just as they did for the accompanying White colorway, Nike US will be restocking the bodega bag-inspired Nike Air Force 1 Low in pink, with pairs poised to hit Nike.com on January 25, 2024.

Original Article 01.29.21 Last year’s bodega bag-inspired run of GS-exclusive Foampoitise and Air Force 1s were a surprising success. After all, the pair were inspired by a plastic bag, of all things. But as it appears, those disposable carriers mean much more to people than one thought, with both our website traffic spiked, and pairs sold out almost instantly. Unfortunately, those who wear adult sizes missed out — but for 2021, Nike will be delivering a two-piece pack of Air Force 1 Low “Rose” releases that once again channel the humble takeaway bag.

Arriving in identical stylings to the just-previewed white pair, this effort also features a cascading Nike Air arrangement at the tongue that mimics the famed bodega bag’s “Thank You” texts – and it even sits atop a weave that looks to be made from recycled plastic bags. A singular rose — a common theme on corner store bags — is channeled simplistically on the midsole’s heel. There, it takes the wrap-around protrusion and paints it in red to form a stem. It’s then met just past the raised AIR lettering by a singular leaf and 2D rose motif. Completing the design is another modified callout to the versatile bag — a Swoosh smiley face detail on the insole reading “Have a Nike Day”.
