Nike’s Air Force 1 Low is no stranger to dark colorways, but this upcoming pair feels like it was pulled straight from the shadows of Mordor.

Arriving in a black and red finish, the pair gives Bruce Kilgore’s classic silhouette a much more sinister look. The upper is dressed almost entirely in black, mixing smooth leather, textured overlays, and cracked, lava-like patterning across the panels. It is a subtle detail at first glance, but up close, the finish gives the shoe a scorched, volcanic feel.

The clearest fantasy-inspired detail lands at the heel. A jeweled circular Swoosh badge sits inside the rear tab, appearing in fiery orange and red tones that immediately bring the Eye of Mordor to mind. It is the kind of small design choice that changes the entire read of the shoe, turning what could have been a straightforward black Air Force 1 into something much more thematic.

Red accents continue across the tongue branding, insole Swoosh, and midsole “AIR” hit, adding just enough contrast without overpowering the mostly black build. A mini Swoosh appears near the forefoot, while a black midsole and outsole complete the dark, grounded finish.

Although Nike has not officially attached any Lord of the Rings connection to the pair, the visual references are hard to ignore. Between the cracked black overlays, fiery heel jewel, and red detailing, the pair carries a clear volcanic energy that fits neatly alongside the Mordor comparison.

A release date has not yet been confirmed, but pairs are expected to arrive soon via Nike.com and select retailers.
