Since 1983, Bruce Kilgore's Nike Air Force 1 Low design has taken on a plethora of makeovers. While some have been simple, tonal color executions, others have been explorations in manufacturing technologies. The latest iteration leans into the former, though its patent leather finish adds a more elevated feel to the classic silhouette.

This time, the model arrives in two distinct versions — black and white — offering a more formal, occasion-ready take on the Air Force 1. The contrast between the two makes them an easy pairing, with the white suited to a bride and the black to a groom, extending the sneaker’s versatility beyond everyday wear.

While glossy leather has appeared on the Air Force 1 before, its use here feels more intentional. The black pair retains the familiar all-black look, now enhanced with a reflective finish, while the white version mirrors that approach with a cleaner, more traditional formal aesthetic. Together, they present a matched set that feels equally at home in both streetwear and more dressed-up settings.

Both pairs maintain the model’s original construction and performance roots, with the only real update coming through the material shift. The patent leather upper refreshes the decades-old design without altering its core identity, offering a new take on one of Nike’s most consistent silhouettes.

Enjoy official photos of the "Black Patent" shoe ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com soon.
