From category-expanding basketball shoe to fashion staple on global runways, the Nike Air Force 1 Low has done a lot in its 42-year history. With spring underway, Bruce Kilgore's design recently appeared in a "White Butterflies" makeover that further distances it from its sports origins and re-cements its place in the lifestyle space.

Likely part of a larger Nike Sportswear collection inspired by the season, the newly-surfaced pair features a beloved all-"White" makeup across its upper and sole unit. Branding hits across the tongue and Achilles' heel labels differentiate the pair from mainline versions of the low-top Air Force 1, but not enough to raise suspicions amongst untrained eyes. What gives away the fact that the impending style differs from the Swoosh's best-seller are the butterfly-shaped adornments that appear across the profiles.

Each leather detail is accompanied by a swoosh-stamped, pearl-reminiscent pin that further elevates Kilgore's decades-old design. Given the spring-friendly tweaks, it's likely the "White Butterflies" offering arrives exclusively in Women's sizing.

Enjoy official photos of the seasonal Air Force 1 Low ahead. A firm release date hasn't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but that's likely to change soon. Expect pairs to land via Nike.com for $130.
