Available Now // New Nike Air Force 1 Closely Resembles 2002’s “Year of the Horse”

We’re about to embark on the annual Chinese New Year celebrations for 2020, the Year of the Rat, and, already having eyes on the collection’s Air Force 1 Low, there seems to be a general consensus amongst Air Force 1 collectors: They just don’t make them like they used to. And while that may be true, this all-new general release Air Force 1 Low will take the old heads back to a simpler time: 2002. This White/University Red Uptown boasts a remarkable resemblance to 2002’s Air Force 1 Low “Year of the Horse” (below), save a few modifications.

Of course, the overall shape, it’s inspiration and materials differ greatly to the early 2000’s release, as does the pair’s White Swoosh and red “AIR” lettering on the midsole, but it does arrive in an eerily similar fashion. Branding hits revert back to the stock-standard Nike Air, and the pair is complete with run-of-the-mill AF1 dubraes.
