Color-Changing UV Swooshes Surface on the Air Force 1 Low for Spring 2024
Color-changing, UV-activated Air Force 1 Lows will return in 2024.
At first glance, the new "UV Swoosh" Air Force 1 Low maintains the silhouette's minimalist roots with a dominant crisp white hue across its smooth leather panels. This clean, understated look is reminiscent of the Air Force 1's enduring appeal, yet it veers away from the tumbled leather texture of its 2021 heat-changing textile counterpart.
The magic of this sneaker lies in its transformative capabilities. Upon exposure to UV light, the sneaker reveals hidden hues, with the profile swooshes lighting up in a soft baby blue and the heel tab transforming into a rich wine red. This chameleon-like feature injects an element of surprise and playfulness into the classic design, creating a dynamic aesthetic that changes with the environment.
Complementing these UV-sensitive elements, the sneaker is adorned with Marionberry-tinted hangtags that share the burnished finish of the heel tab. The sole unit, a sun-kissed semi-translucent outsole, ties the design together, while iridescent lace dubraes add flair to the nearly "Triple-White" sneaker.
