The Nike Air Huarache “Mowabb” Arrives May 20

Back in the 2000s, Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Huarache was one of the brand’s hottest commodities. From iconic collaborations with Stussy to sold-out general releases, the silhouette was scarce. 2007’s “Mowabb Pack” was (and still is) amongst the silhouette’s most covered designs. But whilst we disappointedly didn’t see its return for either silhouette’s 30th anniversary in 2021, Nike will be blessing us with a new iteration of sorts, with this Nike Air Huarache “Mowabb” channeling the OG Rattan colorway.

Differing from the release of 2007, this pair presents with light grey soles and tonal leather toes, with the original release looking to dark, almost stone grey soles and suede toes. Aside from that, the pair reports similar finishes, from perforated toe boxes, “Rattan” leather overlays, Royal and mandarin neoprenes, and Mowabb-styled insoles— an easy marry-up for the silhouette as it shares so many similarities to the Mowabb.

Though a release for this reimagined Nike Air Huarache “Mowabb” did not accompany the official image set below, you should expect to see pairs hit select retailers soon.
