Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Huarache had a monster 2021 to celebrate its 30th birthday bash. But as has been the case for several anniversary-celebrating silhouettes, COVID has caused havoc in logistics, leaving a slew of straggling releases for the new year — the next of which to appear is this Nike Air Huarache “Tortoiseshell”
As the title suggests, the pair tacks on the faux finish across forefoot overlays and does so in a traditional high-gloss finish. But despite the tortoiseshell stealing the show, there’s a slew of sundries that are worth noting, from shaggy white suede toe caps to outdoor-inspired laces that mimic the pairs’ overarching hues. Cages, tongue tags, and sole units join in on the theme too, but only in hue, with these elements all finished in shades of caramel and brown to complete the design.
