The Nike Air Max 1 '86 “Sport Royal” Returns March 22

Nike is bringing back the magic of the original Air Max with the release of the Air Max 1 '86 OG "Sport Royal" as part of the lead-up to the annual Air Max Day celebrations.

The Air Max 1 '86 OG "Sport Royal" stands as a homage to the original structure and aesthetic from '86, highlighting the very elements that have cemented the Air Max 1's place in sneaker history. This iteration comes hot on the heels of the highly celebrated debut of the OG Sport Red version, further fueling the Air Max resurgence.

The pair features luxurious royal blue suede, which elegantly contours the mudguard, eyestays, and branding sections, while a complimentary neutral grey suede swathes the vamp, midfoot, and heel overlay, adding depth and texture. A foundational layer of crisp white mesh works harmoniously with the matching laces, tongue, and sock liner, enhancing the sneaker's clean, classic lines. The aesthetic centerpiece is the revered "Big Bubble" Air Max 1 sole, presented in a spotless white, rounded off with a tri-color rubber outsole that mirrors the upper's iconic color scheme.
