Nike is once again tapping into its archival roots with a clean, classic presentation of the Air Max 1. Dubbed the “Evergreen Aura,” this upcoming release leans into vintage AM1 DNA, pairing soft greys with rich green hits that call back to the silhouette’s early colorblocking style.
The build sticks closely to what made the original Air Max 1 an icon: mesh bases, suede overlays, and smooth leather mudguards. Here, white mesh underpins the upper, while light grey suede frames the panels and eyestays. A deep Evergreen Aura shade dresses the leather mudguard, Swoosh, and topmost eyelets, extending down to the outsole for a balanced touch of boldness. Branding on the tongue and heel follows suit in green, tying the palette together with consistency.
Underfoot, you’ll find the same visible Air unit cushioning system that debuted in 1987, housed within a crisp white midsole. Black and green rubber traction rounds out the outsole, reinforcing the design’s heritage-forward mindset while keeping the shoe versatile and wearable.
