As the average age of golf enthusiasts continues to decrease, Nike has responded by adapting some of their more youth-centric designs for the golf course. Featuring popular styles like the Air Jordan 1 and Air Max 1, Nike Golf has successfully rebranded itself to cater to a younger audience. It’s not just the innovative designs that are making a statement but also the vibrant colorways that provide a fresh, edgy alternative to the traditional attire worn by older generations. One prime example is the Air Max 1 Golf “Play To Live” release, which incorporates a groovy 60s-inspired flair into the revamped Tinker Hatfield silhouette.
Centered around a classic white mesh upper and neutral grey overlays, the pair quickly shifts gears to a trippy 60s theme, with colorful psychedelic graphics covering the guards and 60s-styled liquid text marks at the heel and Swoosh insignia. These both read “Play To Live” — though most golfers see the game the other way around, living to play, which happens to features across the right foot’s motifs. White EVA midsoles rest underfoot, with translucent magenta and gold rubber spike tread reading out the mantra once more.
A release for this Air Max 1 Golf “Play To Live” has just been set for July 20th, with pairs set to hit Nike.com for $170 from 10:00 am ET.
