From Black Cat Jordan 4s to leopard print Air Max 90s, Nike’s golf division has clearly been fixated on faux animal furs of late — and this new Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Tiger” continues that narrative.
The pair is anchored in a faux fabrication that mimics the fur of the titular beast, with tongues, overlays and mudguards each proffering a tilted angle of the stripes for effect. Add to that the segmenting black underlays, laces, and liners for more visual breaks, and you’ve got quite a busy design, despite the majority being set in just two hues. White midsoles and black outsoles add a simplistic element, whilst a slight hint of barely-there green gears up the Swoosh branding and Air supports to complete the design.
