It took a little while for things to heat up for the Air Max 1 in this, its 35th anniversary year, but with Air Max Day now behind us, the stage has been set for the silhouette. Now it seems that it’s full-steam ahead, with yet another new color scheme surfacing: the Nike Air Max 1 “Light Madder Root”

Anchored in Rattan diamond mesh, the pair then looks to a slew of colorful overlays, including Vivid Green suede Swooshes, University Blue midfoot shrouds, and supple suede mudguards and heels of the titular hue. Classic white midsoles are met with chocolate-colored outsoles — with tongue tags to match — before Vivid Greeen returns to the Air supports, tongue, and insole branding to complete the design.
