It’s been a trait of Nike to borrow elements from its most famous collaborations and repurpose them for their mainline releases; but this new Nike Air Max 1 “Magma Orange” blends two together, resulting in a fresh take on Tinker’s classic trainer.

Revealed today by industry sources close to House of Heat, you’ll immediately recognize that the color blocking is almost one-for-one with the recent Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Monarch”, with Light Bone mesh uppers, Neutral Grey suede overlays, and overlays of the titular “Magma Orange” arriving in line with the Dutch retailer’s effort — it even deploys an aged-look midsole.

The other influence? atmos.

Iconic to the Japanese retailer, Nike has deployed safari-style prints throughout the pair’s split-cut overlays and Swooshes, with traditional prints, crater-like debossing, reptilian textures, and canvas panels all making up the mudguard.
