Nike Sporstwear’s impending “Timeless” collection — a series of crossover designs — has seen Vomeros reinterpreted as Dunks, Dunks as Vomeros, and Air Max 1s as Air Force 1s. A fourth entrant has emerged, flipping the narrative on the latter, with this Nike Air Max 1 “Timeless” borrowing Bruce Kilgore’s original Air Force 1 High detailing.
Not only does the pair proffer a one-for-one color blocking to the original 1982 basketball shoe (pictured below), but it also adheres to it’s original textile and thick-cut later build. It even comes with added straps across the midfoot to mimic the original’s ankle lockdown, and features perforated toe boxes akin to modern specification. Heritage Nike Air branding assumes its traditional rear placement, with pack-specific tongue tags and insoles confirming the pair’s inclusion into the crossover collection. All of this comes together atop a sail-tinted midsole, metallic silver Air supports, and a white rubber outsole. The pair then comes house in special “Timeless” branded packaging.
