Schemin’ on the low.
Sheeesh, Nike has low-key been up to something on their Air Max 1 this week, with this “Schematic” Air Max 1 Tinker joining the recently-revealed “Sketch” edition in a pack dubbed “Sketch to Shelf” that celebrates the design process of the famed Air Max 1.
The inspiration obviously speaks for itself — a schematic makeup of the Air Max 1, which is used by designers and manufacturers to convey the key design elements of a product. In this instance, it shows the dimensions, stitch lines, style codes and more atop its Joshua Vides-like sole unit. Translucent outsoles show more schematics underfoot, and the pair comes complete with sample-like liner “Property of Nike — Not for Resale” printings.
The literal back-to-basics pair of Air Max 1 Tinker “Schematic” already hit select Euro retailers on July 16th, but now we have word on the Stateside release date: August 9th. Pairs will be arriving on Nike SNKRS and select stores like SNS for $150. Be sure to keep it locked on our Nike Release Dates Calendar for updates to retailers stocking the drop!
